b. Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we request permission to:

• Create calendar events that include your recipe information to assist with meal planning.
• Read your calendar events, only to help you coordinate meal times and avoid conflicts.

We do not store any event details from your calendar on our servers. We only store:

• Event IDs of calendar entries created by My Cooking Buddy. This allows us to manage these events (e.g., delete or modify them) when your meal plan changes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Store and manage your recipe collection.
• Support recipe sharing according to your preferences.
• Enable calendar-based meal planning.
• Improve the functionality and user experience of our platform.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Google Calendar and Your Privacy

Our Google Calendar integration uses the Google Calendar API with your explicit consent. We only request access necessary to:

• Create and manage meal-related calendar events.
• Read your calendar for scheduling assistance, without storing any event content.

We only retain the Event IDs of events we create to support editing and deletion.

You may:

• Disable Google Calendar integration at any time from within your My Cooking Buddy account settings.
• Revoke our access via your Google Account permissions.

Use of Google Calendar is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational safeguards to help protect your data. While we work to ensure the security of your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You have control over your data, including the ability to:

• Create, update, or delete your recipes.
• Adjust sharing settings.
• Disconnect Google Calendar integration.
• Request deletion of your account or data by contacting us.
