Welcome to My Cooking Buddy! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our web service located at https://my.cooking-buddy.com (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

You may use My Cooking Buddy to:

• Store your personal recipes.
• Share recipes with others or make them public.
• Plan meals and integrate with your Google Calendar.
• Customize your recipe and meal planning experience.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

2. User Content

You retain ownership of the recipes and content you submit to My Cooking Buddy (“User Content”). By submitting content, you grant us a license to host, display, and share it according to your privacy settings.

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of your content.
• Ensuring you have the right to share anything you upload.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates our guidelines or applicable laws.

3. Privacy and Data Use

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

In particular:

• Recipe data is stored on our servers.
• Google Calendar access is optional, and you can revoke or disable it at any time.
• We never store personal event details from your calendar—only Event IDs for events we create.

4. Google Calendar Integration

If you authorize My Cooking Buddy to access your Google Calendar, you agree to the following:

• We can create, read, and delete events solely related to your meal planning.
• You can revoke this access at any time from your My Cooking Buddy account or your Google account settings.

Use of Google services is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful or harmful purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
• Upload or share content that is offensive, abusive, or infringes on third-party rights.
• Use bots or other automated tools to access or disrupt the Service.

6. Modifications to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We’ll do our best to notify you of significant changes in advance.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• The Service is no longer viable for operation.

Upon termination, your access to stored recipes and calendar features may be removed.

• Your content will always be accessible or secure.

You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Cooking Buddy and its team shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.
• Any issue resulting from third-party services, including Google Calendar.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you via the Service or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
