Ingredients
- 4 Boneless Pork Chops (About 1-inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (For coating)
- 1/2 cup Finely Grated Parmesan Cheese (For the crust)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (For seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt (To taste)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder (For seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (For flavor and color)
- 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper (To taste)
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy exterior.
- Coat both sides of each pork chop with olive oil, ensuring even coverage.
- In a medium bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Press the Parmesan mixture onto both sides of the pork chops, making sure the seasoning adheres well to create a flavorful crust.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each chop to allow for even cooking. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping the pork chops halfway through the cooking time.
- Check the internal temperature of the pork chops with an instant-read thermometer. They should reach 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
- Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chop.
