Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless Pork Chops (About 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (For coating)
  • 1/2 cup Finely Grated Parmesan Cheese (For the crust)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (For seasoning)
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt (To taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder (For seasoning)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (For flavor and color)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper (To taste)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy exterior.
  2. Coat both sides of each pork chop with olive oil, ensuring even coverage.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Press the Parmesan mixture onto both sides of the pork chops, making sure the seasoning adheres well to create a flavorful crust.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each chop to allow for even cooking. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping the pork chops halfway through the cooking time.
  8. Check the internal temperature of the pork chops with an instant-read thermometer. They should reach 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
  9. Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chop.
