- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 3/4 cups Milk
- 2 Large Eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup Butter (melted and slightly cooled)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with melted butter.
- Pour the recommended amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron and cook until the waffle is golden brown and crisp, following the waffle iron's instructions (typically 3-5 minutes).
- Carefully remove the waffle from the iron and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or chocolate chips.
