Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (spooned and leveled)
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 3/4 cups Milk
  • 2 Large Eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted and slightly cooled)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with melted butter.
  5. Pour the recommended amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron and cook until the waffle is golden brown and crisp, following the waffle iron's instructions (typically 3-5 minutes).
  6. Carefully remove the waffle from the iron and repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or chocolate chips.
