Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (Fresh lime or lemon juice)
- 6 Garlic Cloves (Grated or minced)
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper (Ground)
- 1 pound Large Shrimp (Shelled, deveined, tails on or off (optional))
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, grated or minced garlic, ground cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and ground black pepper until well combined.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss gently to coat them evenly with the marinade. Ensure all shrimp are well covered.
- Set aside to marinate for at least 20 minutes at room temperature. For a deeper flavor, marinate in the refrigerator for up to 1 day; if marinating longer than 20 minutes, omit the lemon juice until just before cooking.
- Preheat your oven broiler to high heat. Place an oven rack in the center of the oven.
- Arrange the marinated shrimp in a single layer in an oven-proof skillet or on a baking sheet.
- Place the skillet or baking sheet in the preheated oven and broil for approximately 3 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and enjoy!
