- 1/4 cup Butter (Unsalted)
- 4 cups Miniature Marshmallows (Fresh)
- 5 cups Crispy Rice Cereal (Kellogg's Rice Krispies)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Be careful not to burn the butter; low heat ensures even melting.
- Add marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and well combined with the butter. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking or burning. The extended cooking time helps create a smoother, more cohesive mixture.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Stir in crispy rice cereal until every piece is thoroughly coated with the marshmallow mixture. Ensure even distribution for uniform texture and flavor in the treats.
- Press the mixture evenly and firmly into a buttered 9x13-inch pan. Use a buttered spatula, wax paper or your buttered hands to prevent sticking.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into 2-inch squares. Cooling allows the treats to firm up, making them easier to cut neatly.
