Ingredients
- 4 Fresh Ears Of Corn (as many as you want, select the freshest, just ripe ears)
- Butter (for serving)
- Salt (to taste, for serving)
- Pepper (to taste, for serving)
- Water (enough to cover the corn)
Instructions
- Selecting Fresh Corn: Choose fresh ears of corn with bright green husks that fit snugly. Kernels should be in tight rows, plump, and milky.
- Husking the Corn: Remove the outer green husks and silks from the corn.
- Prepare Boiling Water: Choose a pot large enough to hold the corn. Fill with cold, unsalted water and bring to a boil over high heat. Do not add salt.
- Cook the Corn: Add the husked corn to the boiling water. Ensure the corn is covered with water.
- Boil Briefly: Bring the water back to a boil. Once boiling, immediately remove the corn from the water to prevent overcooking.
- Serve: Remove the cooked corn from the hot water using tongs. Serve immediately with butter, salt, and pepper. Enjoy!
